The Centre des Matériaux located in Évry (35km south of Paris) is a laboratory associated with the CNRS (French Research Institute), employing around 180 people including 40 researchers, 45 technicians, 82 PhD students and 10 Post-Doctoral researchers. Research concerns materials processing and surface modification, the microstructural characterization and experimental study of the behaviour of materials. These studies are carried out in close contractual collaboration with industrial partners, Safran, Airbus, Dassault, Turboméca, PSA, Renault, CEA , EDF, Montupet, Eurocryospace, Arcelor Mittal, Ascométal, Constellium, Areva, Onéra, ENGIE, Hutchinson, TOTAL...


To apply thesis : Hold an engineering degree or a national master degree or another degree conferring master's degree or an equivalent foreign degree.


Strong scientific background with a motivation for research. is needed, and  a first research experience (internship) will be appreciated.
